This is a simple but handy Maya deformer that expands or shrinks the vertex position along it’s normal. It has the ability to scale in world or object space. There is also a paintable scaling map for per vertex control for the affect. A script that goes along with this deformer can automatically generate the scale map so the mesh fits to a target mesh. Since this deformer is simple, it is very fast and easy to use.
