This version came with a nice performance boost with GPU support. This is only for Maya 2016 and above. Now when GPU override is turned on in Maya, this deformer is now supported. There is also now a new attribute called “allowGPU” on the deformer if for some reason you wanted to disable this deformer from running on the GPU. See Maya’s documentation for more information about how the GPU override system works.
