What’s New

Version 2.2 of the plugin has been updated to take advantage of a new Maya feature for the GPU if the deformer is added on top of existing deformers. This new feature will maintain the GPU performance that will otherwise be reduced in Maya version before 2018.

Note

Starting with Maya 2019, a new animation caching feature has been added and enabled by default. However, it will cause Maya to freeze in some cases when combined with using this deformer. The cause is unknown and seems to be a bug with Maya. It is recommended to test first and if the scene does freeze, turn off the new animation caching feature and it should work normally. We will see if future updates to Maya will fix the issue.
